Introduction to Filters
The air filter, commonly known as the "three filters and one element," includes the air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, and cabin air filter. Each of these components plays a crucial role in filtering the media within the engine's intake system, lubrication system, and combustion system, respectively. By doing so, they help reduce wear on the car engine, extend its lifespan, and ensure a comfortable, clean air environment for both drivers and passengers.
Product Introduction
The purpose of the filter is to minimize the amount of contaminants reaching the fuel pump (including the transfer pump and injection pump) and the injectors in an internal combustion engine. When diesel fuel passes through the coarse filter element, water and some relatively larger particulate impurities are removed from the diesel.
Maintenance Knowledge
Since the filter becomes dirty or even clogged after a certain period of use, the fuel filter should be replaced regularly.
For filters with replaceable cartridges, after replacement, the fuel system must be bled to remove air. In the case of spin-on fuel filters (when the fuel system does not have a manual fuel pump), the filter should first be filled with the specified fuel before being installed onto the filter base, ensuring a tight seal.
